NEW INTERACTIVE TV TALK SHOW FILMING IN GLASGOW:
A hard-hitting new interactive TV talk show is set to be produced in GLASGOW as part of an eclectic new line-up of programming produced exclusively for a new Scottish TV channel.
Scotland’s first fully interactive global TV channel, Braw TV brings together both traditional and digital, and will see content across all genres available via TV, app and mobile – with additional interactive features, and Scotland wide road-shows and events allowing audiences to be part of the TV experience.
Supported by Business Gateway, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City Council and Interface UK, THE TALK will see a variety of topics discussed with a live studio audience and special guests across its initial eight episode run, being filmed on location in GLASGOW in partnership with INTERFACE UK. Special episodes will also focus on bullying in the workplace, domestic violence against men, addiction issues, mental health in children and even everyday wellbeing, with the show set to premiere later in the year via Braw TV and Prime Video. The series is fronted by broadcaster/journalist and presenter SUSAN SUTTON, produced by Glasgow’s multi—award-winning BAD PONY MEDIA PRODUCTIONS.
Sutton, who was born near Doncaster, and currently lives in Glasgow, turned her lifelong dream of becoming an actor and performer into a realityin 2005, gaining a professional qualification in Acting and Performance. Starring in a number of industry celebrated short films, feature films and TV projects - including the upcoming Netflix production of “THEM”, she also presents her own afternoon talk show on Sunny G Radio 103.5FM.
Speaking about the new TV talk show, she said: “When it was first suggested that I should front a TV talk show, I was beyond excited – and nervous. But following on from my show on Sunny Govan Radio, [‘Talk Susan,’] I feel that it would be a fantastic way to offer another platform for everyday people to be able to share and discuss their lived experiences.” She added: “This show is by real people, for real people.”
As well as a mission to discuss hard topics, THE TALK will also see some episodes focus on some of the lighter things in life, with a mix of topics covered to make people smile, as well as think.
Director FRANK McGOWAN, who is co-founder of Braw TV and a producer for Bad Pony Media in Merchant City in Glasgow, said: “we’re just so excited about working with Susan on this project, and look forward to the people at home helping to develop a real dialogue and connection about the things that matter. She is just fantastic, and the audience reach of all ages over sixteen is just incredible.”
Jackie Wylie, from Interface UK, who are supporting the project via their Innovation Scheme, said: “We're really excited about collaborating on this amazing project and can't wait to see Susan step in front of the camera. We'll be cheering her on from the sidelines, this is exactly what Scotland needs.”
