A new interactive book series filmed during lockdown in GLASGOW is set to highlight fresh literary talent, as well as best sellers and genre classics.

Part of an exclusive new line-up of programming from Scotland, THE AUTHORS SERIES - produced by award-winning film and TV production company BAD PONY MEDIA, will feature exclusive interviews with authors and entrepreneurs from around the world – discussing everything from their personal writing journey and growing up, to tips for success for budding writers at home.

Presented by CHRISTINE CORBETT and ANDY COWLE, special guests include former London gangster STEPHEN GILLEN (author, “The Monkey Puzzle Tree”;), WENDY ANDREW (“How to Recover from Pet Loss”;), M.J. MARTIN (“Evil Is”;), WHOOPI GOLDBERG (“The Unqualified Hostess”;), and DOUGLAS STUART (“Shuggie Bain”;).

Executive Producer FRANK McGOWAN, said: “We produced the first few episodes during lockdown and had some real challenges. It became a passion project that we just had to get out there.”

The show will also premiere with giveaways, prizes and the chance for the audience at home to be part of the show by reviewing their favourite books and authors.

Presenter CHRISTINE CORBETT, said: “I’m delighted to be part of such a wonderfully creative project with such amazing people. This is unique, true stories in the writers own words, and compelling pen-to-paper insight into their writing process.”

THE AUTHORS SERIES will premiere @ 8pm Tue 24/11 via YouTube , with Stephen Gillen - who turned his back on a life of crime in 2003 after a twelve year prison sentence for armed robbery, and turning his life towards entrepreneurship and good is now a finalist for the PEOPLE'S BOOK PRIZE.

Casting Call for SCOTCOIN Nostalgia

BAD PONY MEDIA are currently looking for 12 x participants for a NEW nostalgia led ad campaign to promote Scottish crypto-currency brand SCOTCOIN.

The multiplatform ads, which will be filmed at our studios in Merchant City in Glasgow, will feature people from across Scotland talking about their most memorable “firsts” - including first kiss, first concert and first time driving a car. The call is open to those living anywhere in Scotland, aged 18+ who has a memorable story and wishes to share it on camera.

Please note, this is a paid appearance for successful candicates who are chosen, with filming early in the New Year. Applications are currently being accepted online via leading casting websites, and direct via the SCOTCOIN PROJECT website (see" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here for link to webform).

More than 30 new projects are set to be produced in Scotland by BAD PONY MEDIA PRODUCTIONS having been green-lit for new international Scottish TV channel BRAW TV.

The new free TV channel, which is tipped to begin rollout of services from October 2020, boasts a power-house of creative input and support from a cross-spectrum of the UK wide creative industry, and will see audiences both at home and around the world connect with content produced in Scotland.  A number of pilots are also set to be filmed in Glasgow and Edinburgh for the attention of NETFLIX, BBC SCOTLAND and US broadcaster NBC.

Producers from BAD PONY MEDIA FILMS have announced that despite some early set-backs, their new horror production is once filming again in Glasgow this week, and is tipped for completion in the New Year.

Director of Photography JOHN McEACHRAN joins production designer RON GREEN on bringing the production to life, directed by FRANK McGOWAN, based on the script by MICHELLE MARTIN. On screen talent on board confirmed, includes; REBECCA McWILLIAMS, NATHAN DE LA MAR, SAM COLLINS and newcomer LOGAN O'DONNELL.

McWilliams, who has a starring role in Netflix drama OUTLAW KING, as well as Bad Pony Media’s very own upcoming NINETY EIGHT PERCENT series, says: “Working with Bad Pony Media on this project was so much fun. There were points the creature effects were genuinely scary. I can’t wait to see how audiences react.”
