A series of new anthlogy shorts have entered production this week in Prestwick. The shorts, written and directed by BAFTA celebrated director/producer Frank McGowan, will have the flavour of classic shows such as Tales of the Unexpected, and pay homage to classic TV shows such as Bewitched, The Invaders, The X Files and others.

Starring an ensemble cast in various roles, top billed are Christine Corbett, Wendy Andrew, Marco Rinaldi. Also making a cameo is director Frank McGowan.

The shorts, which include stories about alien invaders ("Them"), a forgetful witch and her dog ("F*ck..."), a mysterious neighbour who troubles a newlywed couple ("Neighbourly Spirit") and an alternative world where vampires mean you can't go out after 5pm ("Back Before Dark")., will be screened at festivals around the world from October 22nd 2021, beginning with an exclusive film festival screening in Glasgow.

Costumer and Assistant Production Designer, Lorna McKenzie said: "Being on set has been great, as Covid has kept everybody apart. It's important for our mental health to be doing something creative again, and so far this has been so much fun."

Filming also takes place in North Glasgow, South Ayrshire, Bishopbriggs and East Dunmbartonshire.

Actress Christine Corbett, said: "When you love what you do, you never do a day of work in your life. It's such a great opportunity. Thank you to the production team and Bad Pony Media for believing in me."
